Kimani is the offspring of Kit and Kiki. Kira is her older sister and Kambiri is her younger sister. She likes to play with Little Joe and Kira. Kira was allowed to carry her before Kiki allowed any of the other gorillas to do so.

Kimani likes to get the attention of the other gorillas and tries to entice them to chase her throughout the exhibit. She always wants someone to chase and play with her.

Kimani likes grapes and cantaloupe.
